Monique Giroux MD

Dr. Monique Giroux is co-founder of the Movement and Neuroperformance Center of Colorado in Englewood, CO and medical director of movement disorders for Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Giroux received her medical degree from Ohio State University, completed her Neurology residency at Yale and Movement Disorders fellowship at Emory University. She also completed a fellowship in holistic health and Integrative Medicine at the University of AZ. She is board certified in Neurology. She specializes in the comprehensive care for people with movement and cognitive disorders and integrates non-medical approaches with traditional medical and surgical treatment. Her focus of care and research is on the development of interdisciplinary rehabilitation, team medicine, hope and wellness for people with progressive disabling conditions. She has received training in mind-body medicine and mindfulness therapy which she has adapted to neurological conditions and has produced a series of mindfulness- based wellness programs for people living with Neurologic disease. Dr. Giroux has also developed Neurorehabilitation programs for patients with Parkinson’s and movement disorders, and specializes in deep brain stimulation management and botulinum toxin therapies. She has partnered with the Davis Phinney Foundation to co-author Every Victory Counts: Essential Information and Inspiration for a lifetime of wellness with Parkinson’s.
