Movement Skills are the foundation of all sport and life. The FMS is a simple seven-stage screen that looks at your ability to move your body through space. By examining your ability to squat, step, lunge, reach, push-up and core stabilization, the coach/practitioner can then assign simple corrective exercise strategies to allow for greater freedom of movement without pain or limitation in your range of motion. Properly applied, the corrective strategies will allow you to move in fuller and more free range of motion. The FMS has now become the gold standard for NFL, NHL draft preparation in addition to becoming a widely accepted screen for injury prevention for most amateur and professional sports. This screen has no age, size or fitness level bias and can be used by everyone to increase longevity in the sports and fitness training that we all love to participate in every day.
